Hear steam train sounds, old steam machines, belt driven machines, paddlesteamers The age of such engines may have passed, but the fascination with the sounds - and steam train sounds in particular - has only increased (if mostly with males !)
I have a deal of fun persuing such sound makers around the country !
The 'big steam engine' immediately above is in the 'Emmylou' - a relatively recently constructed paddlesteamer that lives on the river Murry in Australia; the steam engine is a restored 1906 model originally made in the UK and shipped here to be used on a sheep station (for powering wool shears)
There is a cd available that's based on the place where these sounds abound .. hear 'paddlewheels' here ..
