Shoalhaven & Bundanon

A new sounds, images and music multi media project based on the Bundanon property situated on the Shoalhaven river, southern NSW

'Shoalhaven' cd was produced by me, PM, in 2005 being based on sounds recorded around the property in 2001/2 whilst staying there on a 'residency'

The project was ever intended to include visual images - specific photographs - but this did not eventuate, due to lack of finance and equipment failure

I am now able to complete the photographic part of the project and would like to combine the visuals with remixed versions of the (existing) sounds and composed music - to bring the project into a new 'depictive' area - and produce a 'dvd' style program

As well as a dvd, the new Shoalhaven project will include a 'web' presence; an interactive 'trip' taken through the images and sounds of the place ..

With this in mind, this submission has been constructed using the same basic technology - if not the level of integration

Morning kookaburras

Sounds were recorded in many different locations and at different times in the day - and night

'Tortoise taught us'

A lament; the country seems to be waiting, waiting for the old songs to re-awaken it ..

Remnants, ghosts .. all the 'early' settler artifacts and industry have all disappeared ..

Nature's sounds

provide the basis for all the composed musics; often 'mixed in' with the music, occasionally as music in itself

Rain and thunder storm

Preceded by calling cockatoos, a great storm arrived in the late afternoon and continued on into the night; rain on tin roof ..
